Android 4.4 KitKat Phone & Messaging Apps Leaked

We are closing in to the announcement of Android 4.4 KitKat and probably the Nexus 5 from Google and LG at the end of October and as we move forward, there are various leaks coming in. Today, some leaked shots of the Messaging app and Phone dialer of Android 4.4 KitKat have been leaked online and can be seen in the two photos below.

We have already seen the KitKat startup screen on a Nexus 5 in a previous leak, today we get to see the messaging app and the dialer app that you will probably see on the Nexus 5 and other Nexus devices that will be getting the Android 4.4 KitKat update. Any AOSP ROMs for other devices will also feature these apps. Other than these, skinned-OEM based versions of Android 4.4 KitKat will not include these app because they will be customized according to the company’s requirements.

The status bar also looks similar to that in the leaked video of the Nexus 5 and the one seemed in the leaked keyboard spotted by Android Police.

One thing you can surely infer from the leaked shots is the color of the status bar which changes according to the color scheme of the app. This is a new feature introduced in Android 4.4 KitKat. The messaging app that had controls on the bottom are now place up on top right of the app.
