Carbon For Twitter Lands on Android, Finally!

What all the tweeters within the droidians have been waiting for is finally here! The highly awaited and anticipated Carbon for twitter app is finally here to get us tweeting, the way it should be thanks to Koush who also launched the Carbon Backup app. The Sleek Holo interface combined with slick animations make up for a visual treat while the functionality remains top notch courtesy the variety to navigation gestures which’ll help ease of access across the various Timelines, Lists, Favourites, Searches, Trends, Profiles all in one go right from the main screen! Excited? let’s talk a bit more on this.

For those who aren’t as much familiar with the app, lemme tell you this is one of the most trusted and beloved twitter clients which had it’s origin from the other part of the stratosphere like the lives of Windows Mobile and the WebOS. With the growth in number of Android users which is taking place exponentially, the corresponding number of twitter users has also seen a jump on the platform which may have shifted to the droids or have just started with their Android smartphones. That’s the reason why the demand for this amazing app increased and subsequently, the developers are finally here to greet us with the first version of the Carbon For Twitter app on the Android Operating System.

Here’s how it looks like:

5 1 2 4

The overall interface is of much resemblance with the expectations that the users had along with some really cool transitions and gestures at your serve to help you tweet and take my word, it does feels like a charm when you scroll through all of your pages. Filters for Hashtags/Users/Keywords, the QuickTimeline, Power Scroll( you need to Scroll using Two fingers to skip to the top or the bottom of Timelines) and support for multiple conversation/interface styles add to the overall productivity of the app along with all that aesthetics that these bring to the perception.

But as it’s said, you won’t be getting all of that icing without having to pay for it. This is the first live build of the app and hence, it sure has some bugs within. Although being fully compatible to almost every single Android 4.0+ device out there, this just refuses to run on a tablet as per the reports. The developers have stated that they are working on it and we will be having a much stable version of the app and we also expect one which has an inbuilt homescreen widget along the installer(You got that right!).

Having collected all that popularity across the other audience, this app is all set to be downloaded in the Google Play Store. The question is, will it be able to make it to the top of the charts like the lives of all of it’s alien counterparts?
