Sony has rolled out an alpha version of Jelly Bean for Sony Xperia T. Since it is alpha, most of the features don’t work and it has been released only for developers to build some custom ROMs. The good news is that the lockscreen functions and has been ported by erorcun on XDA Developer forums. So if you have an Xperia device, you can switch to this lockscreen with some simple steps given below.
Before you go ahead and download the APK file, you can see how it functions in the video I just made using my Xperia U.
Looks great except the fact that you don’t get any swipe to unlock notifications which you usually get on Sony stock ICS firmware.
Requirements: Rooted Xperia Device with a Root explorer.
You can download the APK file from any of the two buttons below. Two version because in one version, the “Swipe to unlock” text disappears after 3 unlocks and in the other one it doesn’t.
To install this lock screen, use a file manager that can browse up to root. Copy the downloaded file to SD card and then move it to /system/app. Replace it with the existing file (but only after you backup the original file) and set the permissions to rw-r-r. Reboot to see the lockscreen.
Feedback is appreciated.
