The Recently launched Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos is a one of a kind all round performer which has raised the stakes high in the upper mid-range of phones courtesy it’s brilliant 5 inch display that it boasts upfront which is backed up by some exquisite performance under a well delivered package including the Samsung S-features that also includes the Multi-Window way of multitasking through the apps of your choice. The phone is performing well all round the globe and despite the tough competition in the subcontinent courtesy the target suspect, the Micromax Canvas HD and Canvas 2, the Korean phablet is sweeping off the shelves pretty quickly!
Talking about performance, almost every mobile geek out there is aware of the fact that in order to squeeze out the best out of an android device is flashing some high performance ROM and Kernels onto the phone. Sadly enough that ain’t possible until and unless you have the access to the root folder of your device. The process is termed as Rooting and is completely safe unless and until one doesn’t plays around with the keys during the process! Further, if you want to get into the flashy action, you first need to flash a Custom Recovery as the stock one doesn’t allows the flashing of custom ROMs. To get done with that, we’ll proceed via the Orthodox method using the Odin Multi-Downloader.[box_light]Before you proceed with the installation, we recommend you to backup all data on your phone. To make backups easily, you can read our complete backup guide. If you do not have device drivers installed, you can download them here. We are not responsible for any damage your device might face with this guide – the chances in this case are very less though.[/box_light]

Now reboot your phone in the recovery mode by pressing press vol up + power + home buttons simultaneously. Now select “apply update from sdcard” and select the zip file that you placed earlier in this directory. The recovery will now flash the SuperSU zip onto your phone’s file system and hey! You’re home! Now hit the “reboot system” option and wait for your phone to boot up. Check for the SuperSU icon in your application drawer or download the root checker app from the play store to check the root status of your phone.
If you want to revert back to the non-rooted firmware, flash this file in a similar fashion as the above file.
