HTC Butterfly S Goes Official, Packs a Quad-core 1.9GHz Snapdragon 600 Processor & Ultrapixel Camera Sensor

A 5 inch Quad-core device that would be faster than HTC’s flagship device HTC One is on its way and has just been made official by HTC at an even in Taiwan. The HTC Butterfly S is an upgrade of the original high-end HTC Butterfly smartphone – and a huge upgrade.

The HTC Butterfly S sports a 5 inch 1080p display, powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.9GHz frequency. Sense 5 with Android 4.2.2 as expected is on board along with the primary UltraPixel camera and Zoe software features. The front camera is impressive too as it is a 2.1 Mega-pixel wide-angle shooter. The device will be powered with an impressive 3,200mAh battery.

The HTC Butterfly S also has a 2GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory. It is expandable through microSD. Regarding the release of the smartphone, Engadget hints at a July release in Taiwan at a price tag of around $766. However, there is no official announcement regarding this.
