After several leaks, the HTC One Max is now official. It was only yesterday that we had seen some beautiful high-definition shots of the phablet from HTC and today the company has announced it officially. The HTC One Max is the company’s first phablet that packs some great features like the fingerprint scanner along with the Boomsound technology used in the One series of devices.
After the HTC One and HTC One mini, the HTC One max is now a part of the One family and the biggest of all. The design of the HTC One max is pretty much similar to the HTC One except that you can remove the back cover to insert a microSD card to expand the storage. The battery compartment is sealed and packs a 3300 mAh unit.
Apart from its large 5.9-inch display, the fingerprint scan is an added advantage to the device. The fingerprint scan allows you to immediately unlock the device with the touch of your finger. Along with this, it also helps you start up to 3 applications depending on three different fingerprints.
The specs aren’t something new to us. As already leaked earlier, the device is powered by a 1.7 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor. It packs a full HD 5.9-inch screen with 1080×1920 pixels of resolution which is 367 ppi pixel density. The device is powered by a 2GB of RAM that helps you run quite a lot of applications in the background. The internal memory is of capacity 32 GB that can be expanded by a memory slot. The device has an UltraPixel camera with f/2.0 aperture on the back plus a 2.1 MP frontal shooter with wide 88 degree viewing angle.
The One max runs on HTC’s latest Sense 5.5 interface that helps you turn the Blinkfeed social aggregator on or off and it is now more social. Blinkfeed now lets you download up to 120 articles for offline reading.
Talking about the availability of the device, the One max will be available on Verizon (as seen earlier) and Sprint pretty soon within a few weeks and it will be available for immediate release globally.
