LG Optimus L3 E400 Gets MIUI Port Based on CyanogenMod 9

Posted by & filed under Optimus L3.

The LG Optimus L3 E400 does not have quite a lot of developers working on it since the device is new and hasn’t gained much attention. The CyanogenMod team paid some attention to the device and developed a CyanogenMod 9 ROM for this device which is still in nightly stage. It has been like that since months, hopefully it will be stable as soon as possible. A developer irberserk at androidworld.it forums has developed a MIUI ROM for LG Optimus L3. It is based on the aforementioned CyanogenMod 9 ROM and hence all bugs that exist in CM will exist in MIUI ROM. MIUI is a customROM developed by a chinese team and is also a popular custom ROM just like CyanogenMod.

If you manged to install CWM on your device, you can flash this ROM easily.

Bugs

  • After turning off the phone an restarting it, you might see the battery image. You need to long-press the power button to get past that and reboot successfully.
  • Wireless tethering and Vodafone data connection don’t work.
  • You might face some visual bugs.

Why this MIUI ROM OS doesn't see my movies photos and music on external SD Card?

    • Borisblagojevic13121

But everything else is much beter faster and more secure than original Cyanogen Mod.

  • Vidur David

@Borisblagojevic13121986, the MIUI ROM does not recognise the External SD Card. As this ROM is still developing, there will be bugs. A new update for the ROM should fix that.. :)

    • Borisblagojevic13121

It sees only music and ROMS and kernels and other software.

    • Lalit Indoria

I have mentioned that the ROM works well with the display drives used on older phones. Tough luck for new phones. YOU may want to go back to stock using this tutorial.

Why 512 mb of ram ! My L3 is only 384 MB of ram !

    • Boris Blagojevic

Because of GPU what is uses 128 MB DDR system RAM memory. That’s why?
