The LG L-series phones are the new set of low-end android phones from LG that are reliable yet cheap. The three L-series phones – Optimus L3, Optimus L5 and Optimus L7 were released by LG last year at MWC (Mobile World Congress). MWC is scheduled for near future and there are rumors about devices like Samsung Galaxy S4 and now yet another phone joins the line – the Optimus L7 Dual.
The South Korean company is looking ahead to follow up the L7 with a dual SIM phone that will be powered with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. This leak comes from a Russian website which claims that the LG Optimus L7 Dual will come with 1GHZ dual-core processor, 4.3-inch IPS-display, eight-megapixel camera, dual-SIM operation, and a 2460 mAh battery. Reports also indicate that the phone will be available in Russia in the second half of February. It is rumored to be priced at 12,990 rubles that is $430.
While the display remains same as that of its predecessor, there is no information about the RAM which puts us in a dilemma if the phone will be a high-end phone or just like the L7 which comes with a 512 MB RAM. It is interesting to see that the camera in L7 dual is enhanced with 8 MP while it is only 5 MP in L7. The front camera stays in the same place but the hardware buttons seem to be changed. Th L7 will come with 4 hardware buttons.
As far as I can guess, the L7 dual will obviously be priced higher than its predecessor thanks to the specifications leaked. What’s your take on it?
