Motorola and Google will be announcing their new smartphone – the Moto G on November 13th which is just after 2 days. The event will be held in São Paulo, Brazil and we’ll blog about it as soon as the phone is revealed. But before that, we have a few leaks for you. The phone has appeared in GFXBench that reveals its technical specs and on Amazon.co.uk which reveals its pricing.
The Moto G is a mid-range phone, not like the Moto X and hence low specifications. The phone, known as the Motorola XT1032 features a 720p 4.5-inch display with Corning Gorilla Glass and might run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with Adreno 305 GPU. The processor will be clocked at 1.2 GHz and the Android 4.3 which runs on the device is powered by a 1 GB RAM. It also features a 5 MP rear camera and 1.3 MP front camera.
The phone does not support 4G LTE which is why it is being announced in Brazil and not in the United States. Since it does not support 4G LTE, the cost of the device has to be low. Amazon.co.uk did the mistake of revealing the phone on their website (the page has been take down though) and it is priced at 159.99 GBP which equals to 256 USD.
Well, that was a nice mistake by you Amazon. Also note, Amazon will be selling the Moto G from 14th of November that is just a day after the launch.
