Moto G is Motorola’s latest weapon to come back into the Indian smartphone market where local companies like Micromax and Xolo are competing with companies like Samsung, Sony and LG. While Moto G is the most awaited budget Android device which is capable of competing with low-end Galaxy devices, its launch has been delayed to February.
Motorola today announced on Twitter that details of Moto G India launch will be revealed on February 5. Earlier, the company had planned to launch the device in India in the last week of January but it looks like the company is facing obstacles launching the device in India which has led to this delay. Rumors also suggest that the device will go on sale online and will not be seen in any retail stores due to poor marketing presence of Motorola in India. While it goes on sale online, Flipkart seems to be the site which will first take pre-orders for the device.
The device will probably launch with dual-SIM support in India just like how it did in Brazil. Motorola seems to follow the usual dual-SIM trend in India which can probably give the device a boost in its sales. However, there has been no official word on it.
