Moto G5 Plus receiving its First Software Update

Moto G5 Plus is the latest device from Lenovo. Coming in at INR 14,999 the G5 Plus is expected to lead the ‘Bang for Buck’ smartphones lineup. The G5 Plus is less than a month old and is already receiving its first software update. The update is being rolled out to all the G5 Plus units in Brazil.

The update includes a number of fixes and improvements, and a fix that will improve the audio quality of videos captured by the device. Apart from that, it also brings many stability improvements and bug fixes that haven’t been mentioned in the change log. Also, the G5 Plus will receive Google Assistant in the future.

The update is quite a sizable package being over 280MB and will be pushed out as an over-the-air (OTA) update. The latest update will change your software version to NPN25.137-33. If you haven’t received the notification yet, do not worry as Motorola is rolling out the update in a staged format. To force-check the update go to Settings, About phone, Updates. Considering the size of this update, we recommend that it’s downloaded over a stable WiFi connection.
