Moto Z now receiving Android 7.0 Nougat update in India

A while ago Motorola announced the Android 7.0 (Nougat) update for the Moto Z and Moto Z Force in the last week of November. Motorola has started rolling out the OTA update for the Moto Z smartphone in India. The key feature of this update is that it brings DayDream support to the Moto Z that was only present in the Pixel and Pixel XL devices. DayDream is Google’s platform for mobile VR. The Moto Z and the Moto Z Force are the first DayDream ready devices from a different manufacturer. They have been certified for the DayDream platform and are built for VR with high-resolution displays, ultra smooth graphics and high-accuracy sensors for precise head tracking.

Motorola has already released the list of phones that will receive the Android 7.0 update that includes some of the Moto X and Moto G series of smartphones.

If you haven’t received the notification yet, do not worry as Motorola is rolling out the update in a staged format. To force-check the update go to Settings, About phone, Updates.The update NPL25.86 comes up-to 1.4GB in size. We recommend that its downloaded over a stable WiFi connection.

People ought to download this update as Android 7.0 (Nougat) offers a whole set of new improvements and features such as multi-window, Vulkan API, high quality VR and much more. Other much-needed features are also included, such as, an improved doze mode, quick reply, navigation shortcuts and a new notification panel.
