Motorola announces Android 7.0 Nougat Update for 15 devices

The wait for Android 7.0 Nougat on Motorola handsets is finally over as it is expected to be available for the Motorola smartphones by fourth quarter of 2016. Even though fourth quarter has been announced for the launch there is no definite date told for the same. According to the official android blog there are approximately 250 new features that are being improved and introduced in Android 7.0 Nougat.

Features that Android 7.0 Nougat brings with itself

  • Nougat will enhance and increase the vocabulary of emoticons.There will be a total of 1500 emoticons with 72 new emoticons added to it.
  • It will prove to be more beneficial for the multi-taskers as it enables multi window view for the user and makes the switching between two windows easier.
  • Nougat brings its most eye-catching feature Vulkan API which will trigger games playing on the device.
  • Also, it will come with a virtual reality mode,that is, if the user has access to Motorola’s VR headset daydream user can enjoy all the apps on the device with utmost ease.
  • Nougat introduces the new direct boot mode which will make the device function on secure mode and more faster but only when the device is unlocked.
  • The multi locale support makes it easier to search in different languages in the search engine.Also, the languages can be manually selected.
  • The battery life has been improved with the introduction of new Doze settings which will help in saving the battery when on the move.
