The Motorola Atrix 2, successor of the Motorola Atrix functions on the AT&T network and runs on Android 4.0.4 ICS. Unfortunately, there are no official updates available for this device and it should probably end the official firmware era with ICS. However, the device does get developer love and the Paranoid Android team has rolled out their custom ROM for this device that brings it up to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
The Paranoid Android ROM brings a lot of customization options to your device while you have it running and one among them is the ability to customize the UI with the help of which you can switch your phone’s UI to the tablet mode. You can also customize in app colors so the status bar and notification bar color coincides with the more visible elements of the app.
The ROM available for the Motorola Atrix 2 right now is Official Paranoid Android 3.99 – Release Candidate 2. It will be further updated with more fixes and stability.
The ROM can be downloaded from the original thread along with Gapps. To install the ROM, you need to place the ROM zip file and Gapps zip file in your device’s SD card and flash them via CWM or any other recovery. Make sure you wipe data, cache and dalvik cache before flashing the ROM.
