Motorola Rolls out Jelly Bean Update to RAZR i, France Receives It First

The Motorola-Intel combination is all set to receive its part of Jelly Bean love. If you are in France, you may now hit the “Check for updates” button on your device and download the Jelly Bean update.

As Motorola seems to lose out in the competitions with giants like Samsung, HTC and Sony, the RAZR i might be a good breakthrough for them in the market. The Intel powered device initially came with Android 4.0.4 ICS and was rooted pretty soon after it was launched. Motorola had then announced its schedule for Jelly Bean updates that it would roll out to its devices in 2013. The announcement said tat RAZR i would receive Jelly Bean update in the first quarter of 2013 and as promised they have started rolling out the update beginning with France. Other countries would follow suit soon!

The Jelly Bean firmware will be bundled with goodies like Google now and Project butter which is smooth and gives a better user interface than its previous versions. The changelog has not been provided by Motorola yet but if you are in France, you can grab the update now and let us know your feedback about it.

Please note that this update will revoke root access on your device and you will have to root it again!
