Official Jelly Bean Firmware for Transformer TF300T Hacked Into Three Parts

ASUS has recently pushed out official Jelly Bean firmware for the Transformer TF3000T. It did give a stable Jelly Bean base to the tablet which has also become  a base for further development because of which users of this tablet can expect much stable Jelly Bean custom ROMs. The first step in development is rooting – the primary need for hacking the device. Folks at XDA are efficient enough to root the firmware updates released by the manufacturers and use it to create some awesome ROMs to enhance the User Experience.Transformer TF300T

XDA Recognized Contributor surdu_petru has hacked the Transformer TF300T and presented three different firmwares to be flashed on the tablet.

1. Stock Asus JB 4.1.1 Firmware 10.4.2.13 – Rooted version

Includes :

  • untouched official latest firmware ;
  • stock kernel ;
  • su & Superuser for root access !

2. Stock Asus JB 4.1.1 Firmware 10.4.2.13 – Rooted & Deodexed version

Includes :

  • USB debugging enabled ;

  • deodexed ;

3. Stock Asus JB 4.1.1 Firmware 10.4.2.13 – Rooted & Deodexed & Busybox version

Includes :

  • untouched official latest firmware ;
  • insecure kernel ;
  • USB debugging enabled ;
  • su & Superuser for root access !
  • deodexed ;
  • busybox installed ;

Make sure you download the appropriate firmware according to your needs. The same firmware will be used in the installation instructions below.

Pre-Installation Tasks:

  1. Back up all apps using ASTRO File Manager. You can get the APK files using ASTRO and later restore it. Rooted users can use Titanium Backup which also backs up data along with the apps.
  2. Back up all contacts to SD card.
  3. Have minimum 60% charge on your device else you might get stuck while the update process is running on your device.
  4. Remove any security or Anti-virus app if you have them installed.
  5. Enable USB Debugging. This can be don by Settings>Applications>Development and making sure that USB Debugging is checked.
