Pokémon Go Evolving with 80 new Pokémon this week

All of us Pokémon Go enthusiasts have been eagerly waiting for the next set of Pokémon to collect. The wait is over as this morning, Niantic announced that Gen 2 is rolling out.

We will have 80 new Pokémon appearing in the game. There will be Pokémon from the “Johto” region from Pokémon Gold and Silver, such as Chikorita, Cyndaquil and Totodile. Unfortunately, Niantic hasn’t come about a way to introduce Legendary Pokémon.

This is the largest update since the game launched and is sure to spark interests again. It also includes some tweaks in the UI. There will be new evolution items, two new berries (Nanab; slows your quarry, Pinap; doubles the amount of candy you’ll get upon a successful capture).

If you missed the Valentine’s Day event and abundance of Clefables (probably because you have a sweetheart), this new update should be more than enough to keep you on your toes.

We currently don’t have access to the complete list of Pokémon coming with the update. Nevertheless, this is rather refreshing from the monotonous Pidgey spam. So, go ahead and “Catch ém all’.
