Root Your Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus S7500 & Install CWM Recovery

If you have bought a Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus you might also want to root it and this tutorial explains how to root Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus S7500 easily. There are various advantages of rooting. After rooting you can backup all apps along with their data using Titanium Backup if you wish to install a custom ROM. Also you can automate tasks using Tasker and also perform several other operations on your phone which would not be possible without rooting.

Prerequisites

It is very unlikely that you will lose any data on your device but if you are stuck at some position you may need to perform a factory reset. Having a backup is good in such situations!

  • Back up all apps using ASTRO File Manager. You can get the APK files using ASTRO and later restore it. Rooted users can use Titanium Backup which also backs up data along with the apps.
  • Back up all contacts to SD card.
  • Backup SMS on Android.
  • Backup call log on Android.
  • Have minimum 60% charge on your phone else you might get stuck while the update process is running on your device.
  • Make sure you have Samsung KIES installed which will provide the drivers for your phone.

Steps to Root & Install CWM on Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus

  1. Download – Odin | Rooting zip package and tar file.
  2. Connect your phone to the PC via USB cable and copy the rooting zip package to the root of your SD card.
  3. Remove your phone from PC and Boot your phone into recovery mode by pressing and holding the buttons  volume up + Volume Down + power and Home button.
  4. Go to “Install zip from SD card”>”choose zip from SD card” and select the rooting zip package that you had copied to your SD card.
  5. Go back and select Reboot system now.
  6. Boot your phone into download mode by pressing Volume Down + Home + Power buttons.
  7. Connect your phone to the PC via USB cable.
  8. Start Odin and make sure the ID:Com section goes yellow.
  9. Click on PDA and select the tar file.
  10. Click on Start.
  11. The phone will reboot on success.

    how to uninstall CWM….also is it necessary to install CWM to root the mobile….Is it possible that without installing CWM we can root and download the link2sd and transfer all data to sd card

      To uninstall CWM, you will have to flash the stoco firmware via Odin. It is necessary to install CWM!

          Download this http://www.hotfile.com/dl/154116437/1ff34ad/S7500… Boot your phone into download mode and flash via Odin. Click on PDA and select S7500DDLD1_S7500ODDLD2_S7500DDLD1_HOME.tar.md5 file and then click on Start. The official firmware will be flashed!

      Did you flash the recovery img using Odin? Press Volume Up + Volume Down + Power button together when your phone is turned off and release the power button when you see Samsung logo!

        Never mind about it. I have rooted it

        At first. I saw there was no "VOLUME DOWN" it was said only Volume Up + Home + Power Button that's it. That's why I check in the other sites showing "Volume Down" is included

    found it but when I install it, it says "Installation Aborted" it just appeared automatically
