We had already seen some rumor’s about HTC’s Facebook phone back in last year that was known as HTC Opera UL. There is something more, @evleaks has to add to these rumors. The Facebook phone will be known as HTC Myst as reported by @evleaks on Unwired View.
It was back in 2011 that HTC Chacha released as HTC Status in USA with a dedicated Facebook button and now the Taiwanese company might release yet another Android phone in collaboration with the social giant and AT&T known as HTC Myst.
The rumored specs of this device say that it would come with a 4.3 inch 720p display with 320 ppi pixel density powered with a dual-core MSM8960 CPU clocked at 1.5 GHz and 1 GB RAM. The mid-range Android device would have a 5 MP rear camera and 1.6 MP front camera. The storage capacity would be 16 GB internally and no SD card slot.
The device would be LTE enabled and run Android 4.1.2 out of the box. The connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, LTE, and category 14 HSDPA.
While Facebook has announced a new look of the News Feed, it would be interesting to see how their new app would be implemented in the OS of the phone. Would we get a different version of Facebook, Messenger and Instagram for this phone and how would the layout of the phone support the social giant’s functionality?
Other specs of this device are not clear at the moment but we may expect this device sometime this Spring – the same time when HTC Status was released. As and when more details about HTC Myst #UL surface, we will let you know. Make sure you connect with us on Facebook and Twitter or subscribe to our updates.
