We all knew that Samsung was working on a Galaxy S3 based camera as it has announced itself before the Koreans go Official about it. The Samsung Galaxy Camera is nothing new to be taken for some innovation viz. the Nikon Android camera which went official last week but offcourse is a major upset for the latter in terms of hardware capabilities as it has got the power to tame down even the most powerful droids roaring out there.
A massive 4.8″ display is on the serve along with some heavy duty optical capabilities viz. the 21x optical zoom and a 16MP BSI CMOS sensor. The Samsung Galaxy Camera is said to be sharing the same chipset with the Korean telephony flagship, the Galaxy S3, which means it’ll be featuring the 1.4Ghz Quad-core Exynos SoC along with 8Gb of storage and a microSD card slot for further expansion of the memory and will be running on the latest of Android, 4.1 Jelly Bean.
So, the question is whether the “butter” on the Quad-core Exynos be capable enough to serve to the needs of the photography enthusiasts or whether it’ll end up being just another point-and-shoot. One thing is for sure, since it is a droid, XDA will be ready to serve to it. As the official announcement is stil to be made, stay tuned with us as we’ll be taking good care of the most potentially intelligent camera till date.
