Samsung has released a second version of yet another Duos phone – the Galaxy S Duos 2 GT-S7582 which is similar to its predecessor in most specifications. The Galaxy S Duos 2 hasn’t been announced by Samsung Mobile press but the product page is live on Samsung India’s website which shows the device priced at INR 10.999.
The device lets you insert 2 SIMs and like the S Duos, it does have the same 4-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 800 which brings the pixel density to 233 ppi. The internal memory of the device is 4 GB and is expandable up to 64 GB via a microSD slot. It comes with Android 4.2 out of the box that runs on a 768 MB RAM (Samsung’s page lists it as 6 GB). It is powered with an unknown dual core processor that is clocked at 1.2 GHz – this is the only difference I could find between the Galaxy S Duos and Galaxy S Duos 2. The processor in Galaxy S Duos is clocked at 1 GHz, single corem Cortex-A5. The Galaxy S Duos 2 has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a VGA camera on the front.
It is interesting to note that people at Samsung India have committed some errors while setting up the product page on the website listing expandable as expendable and the RAM memory being written as 6 GB.
The page on Samsung India’s website shows that the device is currently out of stock, but you can get notified when it is available for you to purchase.
