Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Gets Stable Official CyanogenMod 10.1.3 ROM

Both variants of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini – the 4G LTE version and the international 3G version receive some CyanogenMod love in the form of CyanogenMod 10.1.3 Android 4.2.2 ROM. CyanogenMod 10.1.3 is the latest version of the Android 4.2 AOSP derivative and can now be installed on the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini.

CyanogenMod is one of the best custom ROMs that has been derived form the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) ROM. It is now a company and the team behind CyanogenMod keeps adding devices to their support list. The Galaxy S4 mini is one among them. The LTE version had already received the CyanogenMod 10.1.3 ROM earlier while the 3G international version was put up on the list this week.

Sure you would not like using your device with the TouchWiz interface but you may love using the TouchWiz widgets, hence you can install them separately after you have flashed the CyanogenMod ROM.

This ROM is an official ROM and the build is a stable one, so you will not be facing any issues with this ROM and everything must work perfectly. However, you need root access and custom recovery on your Galaxy S4 mini to flash the ROM.

All you need to do is – get CWM and place the ROM zip file and Gapps zip file in your device’s SD card. Enter CWM and flash the ROM after wiping data, cache and dalvik cache. Once you flash both the ROM and the Gapps zip file, reboot the system and you will be good to go. Your phone must now perform faster.
