Samsung’s Android flip phone – one of its kind among Android devices is now available in India. The Samsung Galaxy Golden is priced at INR 51,900 and is available across all leading retailers in India.
The Samsung Galaxy Golden was launched in August this year in Korea and it features two AMOLED displays both of which measure 3.7-inches. The Galaxy Golden runs on a 1.7GHz dual-core processor and 1.5 GB of RAM. The device is powered by 1820 mAh battery. It has a 8 MP camera on the back and a 1.9 MP front camera on the front. Oh yes, it runs Android 4,2 Jelly Bean out of the box.
These specs make it a pretty high-end device and it looks like Sammy wishes to revive the flip phone craze in some countries. Being an Indian, I do remember using the fast-selling flip phones in India after which they were replaced by Android powered touch smartphones. A flip smartphone with Android and AMOLED display should make it a great combination. The device also features a “Hidden receiver” which enables the user to receive calls without opening the folder.
