Samsung, the South Korean multinational company, starts off this year with the launch of the Galaxy A series – 2017. This series of smartphones will feature 3 phones in different sizes and hardware, the A3, A5 and A7.
The Samsung Galaxy A (2017) series of smartphones have ‘enhanced’ cameras compared to its predecessors. Switching modes, taking selfies, applying filters and effects is much more seamless with a simplified camera UX. Most noteworthy is the fact that these phones are IP68 dust and water-resistant. Users get a premium feel with the device’s metal body and 3D glass back panel. The Galaxy A series (2017) lineup will rock USB Type-C making it future-proof.
What makes the Galaxy A series (2017) unique to is predecessors is its support for 256GB microSD cards. All the devices have fingerprint sensors, Super AMOLED displays, dual sim options and Samsung Pay with MST functionality. These phones have unfortunately been released with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and Touchwiz.
The Samsung Galaxy A3 has a 4.7-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display, 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM, 1.6 GHz Octa Core processor, 13MP rear camera and a 2350 mAh battery.
The Galaxy A5 and A7 have similar hardware, both rocking 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM, 1.9 GHz Octa Core processor, 16MP rear cameras and they both come with fast charging, their only points of difference being screen size (A5 – 5.2″ and A7 – 5.7″ full HD) and battery capacity (A5 – 3000 mAh and A7 – 3600 mAh).
The Galaxy A series devices will be available in Black Sky, Gold Sand, Blue Mist, and Peach Cloud color. They will be launched in Russia in early January and then expand to other countries.
