Samsung SM-G900S Benchmarked with 2560×1440 Display, Android KitKat and 2.5 GHz Processor, Could Be Galaxy S5

A new device has popped up in Kishonti’s GFX cross-platform graphics benchmark database and is codenamed Samsung SM-G900S. What blows my mind about this suspicious device’s benchmark results is the 2560×1440 pixels screen resolution and a 2.5 GHz clock speed of the processor which can be confirmed from the benchmark results seen below:

The codename MSM8974 listed in the benchmarks is Qualcomm’s numbering for the Snapdragon 800 processor. Though Qualcomm had already announced a faster processor – the Snapdragon 805 which will be included in devices next year, this device might be an early prototype of the Samsung Galaxy S5. A 2K display js something that no Android device has featured till now and Samsung might be the first one to launch a device with 2K display. There are pretty high chances that the device might be a Galaxy S5. This also marks the onslaught of 2k resolution display devices we can expect next year and probably all OEMs will follow suit after Samsung.

The product build tag “klteskt” is assumed to be so as the device might be tested on Korean’s SK Telecom with LTE radio. This might be an early engineering sample of the Galaxy S5. Though it might be not a Galaxy S5, we can be sure that the Galaxy S5 will come with a Snapdragon 805 processor and 2K display.
