It has been hardly a month since we first got to hear about a clamshell upcoming from Samsung running the droid OS and just in time has the official note arrived regarding the existence of the device. Samsung Galaxy Folder dubbed Samsung Hennessy has been unveiled as a China specific Dual core Android device sporting the nearly extinct clamshell form factor.
The elegant looking droid from the world leader has chipped in as a breakthrough in the era of giant screened boring looking squarish android devices. The Samsung Hennessy features a pair of displays both being 3.3 inches by the diagonal and of the HVGA(320×480) resolution which does sounds a bit too outclassed going by the current ppi trends. The phone will be powered by a 1.2 GHz Dual core processor and will have 1 GB of RAM to handle all your apps without breaking a sweat over the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS.
The clamshell is a bit too thick at 18.62mm by the waistline and will be powered by a 1500 mAh battery. Considering the phone being of that much bulk, a microSD card and two SIM card slots are well appreciated. The camera is of the 5 Megapixel variety with no word regarding the video recording capabilities of the device but has got an LED flash besides it for some low light portrait photography.
Samsung Hennessy is truly and undoubtedly one of the most interesting phones in our field of vision as this could just be an entrance for the escape from the traditional looking Android smartphones but the reality is, who wants to change the things around when the things we have in our hands beating the heat from the past all ends up!
