With the ‘mini’ being the call of time for the firms as well as the buyers who are fed of the phablet sized smartphones, it seems that Sony will soon join the company of HTC and Samsung by succeeding the Xperia Honami with it’s mini variant. Surprisingly, Sony seems to be in a mood to beat the competition all ends up by delivering the highlights of the upcoming flagships or an uncut version of the latter in a smaller package considering the efforts it has been putting in to chip into the mid range phone market.
Unlike the HTC One mini or the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini, the Xperia Honami mini is speculated to boast all the highlight features of it’s bigger sibling in a state of the art package with a display size of 4.3 inches.
The Xperia Honami mini will supposedly feature the 1/2.3″ 20.7MP sensor with F/2.0 Sony G lens camera and a Snapdragon 800 chipset to power up the 720p Triluminos display and take that for a fact that even the current flagship will have to feel inferior to the supremacy of this mini. Talking about minis, the Japanese have been the best in the business when it comes to making ”mini” devices considering the fantastic design which was implemented in making the Xperia Mini which packed a 720p video playback capable chipset to power up a matchbox size mobile device and that too in late 2011!
Apart from this, the Xperia Honami mini (or, the Ray3!) will feature a 2400 mAh battery and 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of onboard storage. With a Sony event cornering through the weeks, we can expect this device to launch alongside the original Xperia Honami on september 4th itself.
