Announced back in August 2016 in China, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is an ideal example of a ‘bang for buck’ device. Xiaomi has been quite successful in India and has recently announced that their revenue exceeded $1 billion last year alone. The Indian market is ideal for budget-powerhouse devices and offering precisely that, Xiaomi has flourished here. The Chinese manufacturer has sent out invites for a launch event that is taking place in New Delhi on January 19th. It is expected that they will launch the Redmi Note 4 in India, at the event.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 rocks a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display and 2.5D curved glass. The phone will come with a Snapdragon chipset as Xiaomi has been banned from selling MediaTek-based devices in the India. It sports a 13 MP primary camera, a 5 MP front camera, a fingerprint scanner at the back and a 4100 mAh (Li-Po) battery. On the down side, the device runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Xiaomi’s custom skin. The phone will ship in two variants having 2/3 GB of RAM and 16/64 GB ROM. They may be priced around INR 9000-12000.
