Yesterday only we presented to you the Apollo P3.4 Prime Custom ROM and here we are back with the latest of the lot. This ROM has been ported by Anton Ramirez, a senior member of our forums who has also created the wonderful GingerDx ROM. He has ported many ROMs for the LG Optimus Me P350 and this one is the best amongst them. Here we have the XperiaUI v1 Custom ROM for LG Optimus Me P350, which is a direct port of the same from Samsung galaxy mini. Its basically an another attempt to bring to users, the sophistication and sleekness of the Xperia UI, but take my word, it’s the best till the date. It an android 2.3.7 (CM 7.2 based) themed ROM which emphasizes on good performance and comes the closest by far to the Sony user interface.
Also, before you begin with the installation of the ROM, please make a nandroid backup of your current ROM so that you can revert back on the latter, if you do not wish to stay with this ROM.
- Back up all apps using ASTRO File Manager. You can get the APK files using ASTRO and later restore it. Rooted users have a better option of using Titanium Backup.
- Back up all contacts to SD card.
- Backup SMS on Android.
- Backup call log on Android.
- Have minimum 60% charge on your phone else you might get stuck while the update process is running on your device.
- Remove any security or Anti-virus app if you have them installed.
- Enable USB Debugging. This can be don by Settings>Applications>Development and making sure that USB Debugging is checked.

Screenshots of XperiaUI v1 ROM for LG Optimus Me P350:
This is a really easy to use and zippy user interface which takes no time for one to get used to. Transparent widgets, the Xperia launcher, who doesn’t wants a UI that looks sharp plus also delivers some good performance? Here are some more screenshots in which I tried getting into the Overview mode. Plus creating folders on the desktop is easy as a pie, all you have to do is to drag one icon over the other and you get the folder popup, cool eh?
Rounding up, all I would say about this ROM is that yes, its a recommendable one for those who want a no non-sense UI, good camera performance, extremely clear sound performance along with good memory management so that you can have your favorite apps running in the background without facing any lags on the run 🙂
The installation of the ROM is simple just like any other ROM. You need to download it from the link below, copy to SD card and flash via Recovery mode. Make sure you wipe data, cache and dalvik cache before installing this ROM( To avoid “Low on Memory” problem).
